Sunset’s Latest Patio Obsession Earns Second Outlet Next to USC’s Campus
...In the expansion the team has decided to go ahead and shorten the whole thing just to BBCM, but keep the same ethos of the place. They’re taking over a brick-walled corner space at the larger USC Village property just north of the main campus, tackling some 4,000 square feet of indoor space with a proposed 1,000 more dedicated to a sunny
The 12 Best Eggs Benedicts in Los Angeles
The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker. It seems only natural that a Sunset Strip hot spot would mashup eggs Benedict and avocado toast for its West Hollywood clientele. Here buttermilk biscuits come adorned with avocado, poached eggs, and hollandaise, and is highly Instagrammable indeed.
Patio Vibes Rule at West Hollywood’s Latest All-Day Hot Spot
BBCM, short for The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker. As the name would suggest, the seasonal, European-influenced menu features everything from hearty meats to freshly baked goods to a specialty coffee program, with craft cocktails to boot. On offer are items like a pork belly and buttermilk biscuit benedict for brunch, marinated tofu grain bowls for lunch, and grilled daurade filet for dinner.
The indoor/outdoor space features an airy dining room with bright yellow banquettes, marble countertops, and a lovely patio with shady olive trees. All in all, it seems like a pretty pleasant place to spend the day, from your morning cappuccino to evening salad and rose. BBCM is open Sunday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Sunset Plaza Welcomes The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker
Few places tease as well as Sunset Boulevard, with a legacy as legendary as any strip in the country. And it’s not even about the restaurants, with the rare exception, they’ve served as the necessary understudies to the headlining music, boutique, bar and nightlife scene. So when a restaurant goes beyond complementing its surrounds, and enters the realm of defining a destination on its own merit, well then, we pull up a chair and invite you to enjoy the view.

BBCM Café // West Hollywood
I found this place while I was stuck in traffic on Sunset Blvd and what caught my attention was the gold sign and their marble tables. I immediately yelped the name and knew I had to check it out as soon as possible! My girl Sam and I came here for brunch and I must say that this place is now at the top of my favorites list...

They have soft poached eggs with rustic polenta and truffled croutons which did look rather amazing. I had a galette of butternut squash, sage, maple syrup, mustard seeds and it’s very addictive. I love the sweetness of the squash, the crispiness of the sage and the lift of the mustard seeds. And the galette pastry is light, crispy but fluffy in the mouth...

The kitchen is led by the duo of Executive Chefs Ren Nisenbaum (formerly of Jaleo, Washington, D.C. and Morimoto and Jean Georges in NYC) and Craig Hopson (formerly of Le Cirque, Picholine and Beautique in NYC) and features seasonal local farm-fresh ingredients.
Consistent with their European bakery foundation, they use the French galette for some of their dishes. I tried two of their galetes: the Beef Short Rib with cherries, arugula and boursin was tasty. The use of cherries blended extremely well with the beef short ribs...

Bowls are everywhere these days and they’re supposed to be heathy and satisfying. Win Win. Marinated Tofu, avocado, alfalfa, Oro Blanco grapefruit and carrot. Despite the fact I don’t eat carrot I loved this bowl. The avocado, alfalfa and grapefruit is an inspired combination. The menu is full of these inspired combinations and the executive chef has a high pedigree of working in Australia, Europe and very fancy places in New York like Le Cirque and One if by Land, Two if by Sea...
